Spud Inc Swing Set Straps

Postby thepaintedlady » Mon Jan 09, 2017 6:44 pm

Hey peoples,

Does anyone own or have used the Swing Set Straps and have an opinion on them / how they compare to the real thing / worth the spend etc?

My home gym is missing a yoke (and stones, but I'm working on that also) and it's something I'd love to add but don't have the space right now. Thought these straps might be a good addition for lighter walks at home when I can't get to the gym?

Cheers,

Steve

They are way harder than a normal yoke but a good alternative to train it in the exact type of circumstances you describe.

They are best used to build stability in the yoke as they swing as they are not fixed like a yoke so expect to use a lot less weight! The good thing is a real yoke will feel real easy in comparison.

The downside is IMO its not the most effective tool to develop foot speed.

Cheers for the info, that makes sense re. the foot speed but sounds like it will do the job given my relative limitations and the fact it will only be a stopgap on days I can't get to use an actual yoke. Plus, at $55 I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of it ;)
